My role at the school:

Hi! I’m Lindsay Wonstolen the full time Prevention Specialist/Social Worker. My primary roles at the school are to support social and emotional learning for all students and manage a caseload of approximately 150 students on Section 504 Plans. 504 Plans provide accommodations for disabilities/impairments such as anxiety and ADHD when the disability significantly impacts the student's ability to access their education, but which do not require the support of an Individual Education Plan (IEP). My role is not to provide individual therapy, though I can connect you with resources if individual therapy is something you need for yourself or your child. I am here to listen, to build relationships with students, to provide support, to foster a school climate of belonging, and to connect people with resources for supports outside of school.

My education and experience:

I obtained both my bachelor’s degree and master's degree in social work from Colorado State University. I became a school social worker in 2016. Prior to working in schools, I worked for county human services in child protection and supporting the foster care program, in a shelter for women exiting sex trafficking, and as a case manager for adults with developmental disabilities.

Hobbies: traveling, reading, and crafting in many forms including sewing, crocheting, and knitting.

Other things I love: being outside, yoga (I am a certified yoga teacher), animals (especially my Bernese Mountain Dog), spending time with my family and friends.
